• Crisis again rocked the Lagos State University, on Monday, as members of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) locked the Vice Chancellor out of office.

It was revealed that the aggrieved staff were protesting against the leadership of the vice chancellor, Profrddor John Obafunwa.

The protesters allegedly chased the VC out of office and threw objects like stones and sachet water at him during the protest.

It will be recalled that the various staff unions in LASU are at logger-head with the VC for sometime now over various issues.

The protest disrupted the planning of the 20th convocation ceremony of the university which is scheduled to take place tomorrow.

Efforts to get the VC to comment on the issue proved abortive as the policemen and campus security hurriedly escorted him out of the area.
