West African Examinations Council, WAEC Withheld Results of 5,548 Candidates for 2020 GCE.
The West African Examinations Council, WAEC has withheld the results of 5,548 candidates who wrote the 2020 second series General Certificate Examination (GCE).
According to the Head of Nigeria National Office of WAEC, Mr. Patrick Areghan, the results were withheld for further investigation in connection with various cases of examination malpractice.
He said the reports of the investigations will be presented to the Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC) of the Council for consideration while the Committee’s decisions will be communicated to the affected candidates in due course.

Announcing the release of the results, Mr. Areghan, said there was a significant improvement in the performance of candidates when compared with the last ten year’s results.
He attributed the improvement to better commitment on the side of the students, teachers, and governments at all levels.
Areghan added that 24,491 candidates obtained credit and above in a minimum of five subjects including English Language and Mathematics.

I really need my results ooo if you don’t want me to die because the results is something to my life and am already thinking deeply that why would waec held my results without doing any sort of malpractice
