Announcing the release of the result today at the Lagos headquarters of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), the Head of Nigeria’s Office, Mr. Olu Adenipekun, said he was impressed with the turnout of the candidates and the release of the results in less than one month after the conduct of the examination.

He added that the results of 1,937 candidates, representing 9.03 percent of the total candidature were withheld by the Council.

According to him, Nigeria blazed the trail by commencing the new diet among the WAEC-member nations, saying subsequent editions would not only record more candidates but also better performance.
