The electoral board of the University of Nigeria Nsukka has published the results of the 2014/2015 Students’ Union Government (SUG) election which took place on Thursday, 29th January, 2015.
According to the released results, Orji Ekenedilichukwu Peter, a 400-Level Veterinary Medicine student was declared the winner of the SUG Presidential position with votes that totaled 1,289.
He defeated his closest rival, Ejike Celestine Amaechi, a 200-Level student of Biochemistry, who got 966 votes.

Other winners are; Anamambu Peace (Vice President), Omego Chinonso (Financial Secretary), Chinonye Noble (Director of Welfare), Anyanwu Maximus (Information Officer), Nwachukwu Ebere (Treasurer), Onah Chibueze (Secretary General), Ezea Sunday (Assistant Secretary), Okonkwo Donald (Director of Transport) and Ugwuoju Henry (Director of Socials).
The election was largely acclaimed to be free and fair as we are yet to get a report of any malpractice or irregularities.
