• The Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka admitted over 6,000 students during the 2014/2015 matriculation ceremony of the institution.

Speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ahaneku, congratulated the new students on being among the less than 7,000 candidates offered admission out of the over 40,000 candidates that had applied during Post-UTME.

He praised them for their success during the admission process, and urged them to tow the footsteps of great men and women who had passed through the university on their path to eminence.

Prof. Ahaneku urged the students to ensure prompt payment of their school fees, regular attendance to lectures, fleeing from any form of examination malpractice, certificate forgery and cultism.

While administering the matriculation oath on the students, the Registrar said the matriculation called for both celebration and sober reflection due to the limited number of persons the university was able to admit from the large pool of candidates.
