Notice To All UNIZIK Postgraduate Candidates.
The management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka wishes to inform all postgraduate programme candidates that the screening test for all applicants for admission into the 2016/2017 academic year shall hold as follows;
The admission screening test shall comprise three parts: Part A, Part B and Part C.
a) PGD candidates shall participate in only Part A;
b) Masters candidates shall participate in Part A and Part B;
c) PhD candidates shall participate in Part A, Part B and Part C.
Below is some description of the Parts.
Part A
Part A shall comprise two sections
Section I: Language Aptitude Test
Section II: Analytic Aptitude Test
Question Format: Computer Based Test (CBT)
Part B
Test in Discipline and/or Area of Study: The questions in this Part shall be drawn from the first degree curriculum of the department/ area of study into which the candidate is seeking admission.
Question Format: Computer Based Test (CBT).
Part C
Defence of Proposal: PhD candidates shall present and defend the Proposal submitted while completing the admission application form online.
Date of Screening Test:
Screening Test shall take place from Monday, 14 November to Friday, 18th November 2016.
Venue: All candidates shall undergo the test at the Awka Campus of the University. The specific Dates and Venues for each candidate shall be communicated subsequently.
Processing Fees and Payment Schedule:
The following is the schedule of fees payable by each candidate for the screening test;
i. PhD Candidates: N7,000 (Seven thousand naira only)
ii. PGD and Masters Candidates:N5,000 (five thousand naira only)
Dates for Payment: Payments must be completed before Wednesday, 9th November, 2016.
Payment Procedure:
· Log on to www.remita.net
· Click on “Pay a Remita Customer/ Biller”
· Click on Pay once
· On the “Who do you want to pay” dialogue box, type NNAMDI AZIKIWE UNIVERSITY, AWKA – 1000128
· On The “Name of Service/Purpose” dialogue box,
– For PGD and Masters, search and click on “UNIZIK PG Screening Test Operations (Masters and PGD)
– For PhD, search and click on “UNIZIK PG Screening Test Operations (PhD)
· Enter other relevant information
· Click on “proceed to payment” to generate your RRR. Print the “RRR” (Remita Retrieval Reference Number) and proceed to any bank of your choice within or outside the University to pay for the Screening Test. A printout will be given to you at the bank after payment.
NOTE: THE PROCESSING FEE MUST BE PAID ON OR BEFORE 9TH NOVEMBER, 2016 TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE SCREENING TEST. ONLY CANDIDATES WHOSE PAYMENTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED BY 9TH NOVEMBER, 2016 SHALL RECEIVE THE FINAL INVITATION FOR THE SCREENING TEST.
