• UNIOSUN Graduates 1234 Students.

     

    The Osun State University (UNIOSUN) will hold its 6th Convocation Ceremony and the Award of Honourary Degrees on Tuesday, 6th April, 2017 at the Convocation Arena in the University’s Main Campus.

    The Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Labode Popoola, who was speaking at the pre-convocation press conference on Saturday, said that a total of 1,234 students will receive their first degree certificates during the event, with 54 of them bagging First Class.

    In a further break down of the results, the VC said that 512 students made Second Class (Upper division) while 539 got Second Class (Lower division). Another 129 graduated with Third Class degrees.

    Prof. Popoola said that some projects, like the College of Health Science and Environmental Science and a water factory, embarked on by the institution would be inaugurated during the convocation.

    According to him, a library building would also be inaugurated and named after the pioneer Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Sola Akirinade.

    The VC added that the university would honour some prominent scholars during the event, which also doubles as the 10th Foundation Day ceremony of the institution.

    He said that the university would continue to produce students with academic excellence good character.
