Unilorin Elects New Deputy Vice Chancellor DVC.
The Senate of the University of Ilorin, UNILORIN during their 252nd meeting held on Thursday, January 21, 2016, elected Prof. Adedayo Yusuf Abdulkareem as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC).
Until his new appointment, Prof. Abdulkareem was the Director of the Institute of Education (IOE), University of Ilorin.
He attended Offa Grammar School, Offa from 1969 to 1973 and Advanced Teachers’ College (now Federal College of Education), Zaria from 1974 to 1977 for his NCE at which he had distinction in Mathematics and Physics.
Prof. Abdulkareem also attended the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, from 1979 to 1981 where he obtained B. Ed. (Hons.) in Educational Management and Mathematics.
He later attended the University of Ilorin for his Masters and Ph.D. from 1983 to 1984 and from 1985 to 1989 respectively.
He was appointed Assistant Lecturer at the Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin in 1981 and left the College as a Principal Lecturer to join the University of Ilorin as a Lecturer I in 1995.
The appointment is subject to confirmation by the University Council.
