The management of the University of Ilorin has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sovereign Campus Concept Limited for the planning and organisation of the “Unilorin Marathon”.
In a letter addressed to the Director of Administration, Sovereign Campus Concept Limited, by the University Registrar, Mr. Emmanuel Obafemi, the company is authorised to source for funds and sponsors for the event.
The Relationship Officer of the Company, Mr. Kolawole Japheth said that the MoU for the UNILORIN Marathon is a celebration of academic stability which he said the University has enjoyed over the years.
”This deal is primarily to project the University of Ilorin beyond its current shores and celebrate the academic stability which the school has been able to achieve for the past couple of years,” he stated.
The marathon competition will hold in October this year.
