• The Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo) has donated an ultra-modern audio-visual lecture studio to the University of Lagos’ (UNILAG) College of Medicine.

    The studio will be used to record lectures and assist to provide a more learning friendly platform, making it easier for students to access information around the world.

    SNEPCo’s studio contains soundproof padding, high quality video and audio recorders, editing hardware and software, monitor, wireless microphones, speakers, air conditioners and general studio furniture.

    The Provost of the College of Medicine, Prof. Folashade Ogunshola, at the commissioning of the studio said: “A major goal in medical education is to improve teamwork and the love for lifelong learning. And research has shown that students cannot only learn by reading but also by audio-visual where they can interact and engage in intellectual discussions.”

    He thanked the company for the donation.

    In his address, the Managing Director of SNEPCo, Tony Attah, said that the project is another demonstration of the company’s commitment to quality education.
