• UNIJOS Institute of Education Holds Matriculation Ceremony.

A total of 321 Students were admitted into the University of Jos (UNIJOS) Institute of Education during a matriculation ceremony held recently at the University Auditorium.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Sebastian Maimako, congratulated the Matriculating Students and warmly welcomed them into the University.

He encouraged the Students to work hard as many graduates of the B.Ed Programme had achieved so much over the years and are now occupying high positions in the society and making substantial contributions to national development.

The VC, who was represented by Prof. Mangut Mankilik, disclosed that plans were underway to move the Institute of Education to its permanent site at Kunga, Nararguta which he believed would ensure further development of the Institute with the provision of adequate lecture rooms and halls conducive for academic activities.

According to him, the joy of the Matriculation would be short-lived if the Students were unable to complete their programmes due to examination misconduct or any other malpractice.

He warned that anyone found to have registered with false certificate or incomplete qualification would be withdrawn from the programme, and advised them to avoid cultism throughout their stay in this University.
