• Samuel Adegboyega University Non-academic Staff Vacancy.

    The Governing Council of Samuel Adegboyega University (SAU), hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the under listed vacant posts:

    1. THE UNIVERSITY REGISTRAR:

    The University Registrar shall be Chief Administrative Officer of the University and shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the affairs (other than the financial affairs) of the University.

    The person holding the office of Registrar shall by virtue of that office, be Secretary to the Council, the Senate, Convocation and Congregation.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Candidate(s) for the position must hold a good honours degree from a recognized University; and must have not less than fifteen (15) years post qualification cognate experience in a University or equivalent institutions, at least three (3) years of which must be at the level not below Deputy Registrar.
    • Candidate(s) must be a member of any professional body such as ANUPA, NIM, CIPM, AUA, CIPR; must be ICT compliant, must be of good health and have pleasant disposition. He/she must possess leadership qualities, must be dependable and must be of unassailable integrity.
    • Acquisition of some formal training in the management of higher education as well as the possession of higher degree(s) will be an advantage.

    Salary and Condition of Service: Successful candidates shall hold office for a single-term of five years and on such terms and conditions as may be specified in his/her letter of appointment.

    Remuneration will be consolidated Salary for University Registrar with NUC approved benefits and allowances as applicable to the Nigeria University system /other benefits/ entitlements as approved from time to time by the Governing Council of Samuel Adegboyga University.

    2. UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN:

    The University Librarian shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the overall administration of the University Library, its branches and extension and for providing services for the entire University community.

    The University Librarian is a Principal Officer and is the head of the University’s Library; candidate for the post shall be visionary and have the ability to provide good leadership; possess personal integrity and demonstrate transparency in private and public life; and be able to command the respect and loyalty of staff.

    QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates for this post shall:

    • Be professionally qualified and be a practicing Librarian;
    • Possess a good honours degree and preferably a PhD in Library and Information Science or any other discipline including Computer Science, Statistics, Educational Administration /Planning. Logic, etc, from a recognized University, with at least fifteen (15) years relevant post qualification experience, preferably in a University or other institutions of higher learning;
    • Have published papers in professionally refereed journals to merit professorial status, as well as possess proven records of sound administrative leadership;
    • Be registered member of the Library Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN);
    • Be computer literate and proficient in relevant Computer applications.
