The Igbawere community in Kwara state was thrown into mourning last week following the death of a student of the Federal Polytechnic, Offa (OFFAPOLY), Sodeeq Akojede, while fetching water from a well.
The deceased, who is an ND 1 Business and Management student, fell into the well and died while trying to draw water for his bath.
An eyewitness said that another person who attempted to save the student also slipped and fell inside the well.
It was reported that both of them died on the spot. The bodies were deposited at the Offa General Hospital.
