• NYSC DG Urges Corps Members To Serve As Agents Of Change.

    The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig.-Gen. Suleman Kazaure, has urged Corps members to serve as agents for the actualization of the much-desired change in the country.

    He made the call while addressing the 2016 Batch ‘A’ (Stream II) Corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Wailo, Bauchi State on Saturday, 25th June, 2016.

    Kazaure told the Corps members that, as young persons, the future of the country was in their hands, and stressed the need for them to imbibe the virtues of honesty and hard work.

    He described corruption as a monster that must be tackled with vigor, and went on to urge the Corps members to join the crusade against it.

    The NYSC boss also told the corps members that security was a collective responsibility, adding that they should avoid putting themselves in harm’s way.

    Earlier in his welcome address, the Bauchi State Coordinator of NYSC, Alhaji Musa Abubakar, told the DG that the 1,923 corps members had adapted to camp environment and were obedient and dedicated.

    Abubakar used the occasion to acknowledged the support and assistance being extended to the scheme by the state government, especially with the recent general renovation of the Orientation camp, construction of two new hostels and the on-going construction yet another two.
