• Lagos State University, LASU Newly Admitted Students Registration Procedure for 2015/2016 Academic Session.

    The management of Lagos State University, Ojo wishes to inform newly admitted students of the institution, who have been successfully screened and cleared in the ongoing Admission Screening exercise at the Ojo Campus of the institution, that they are to pay their school fees on or before Monday 11th January, 2016.

    They are to note that lectures and other academic activities for the 2015/2016 academic session will commence in earnest on Monday 11th January, 2015.
    Failure to pay the prescribed fees on or before the deadline will result in forfeiture of provisional admission.

    Payment of school fees is strictly online at http://www.lasu.edu.ng/epayment

    PROCEDURE FOR THE NEW STUDENTS’ ONLINE REGISTRATION

    1. New students are advised to study this message carefully before proceeding online for course registration.
    2. New students must first of all consult with the Heads of departments, course advisers for departmental regulations to obtain necessary registration information.
    3. On the basis of these consultations and clarifications, new students should then visit LASU website: www.lasu.edu.ng
    4. Only students that have successfully made the online payment of necessary fees will be allowed, automatically, by the registration portal to complete the online course registration.
    5. New students should note that, both the online payment of school fees and course registration are done within the first two (2) weeks of resumption in each semester. Failure to comply attracts penalty such as loss of studentship or payment of late registration fees.

    REGISTRATION GUIDELINE FOR THE NEW STUDENTS

    STEP ONE

    • Visit LASU website www.lasu.edu.ng
    • Point to STUDENT SERVICES
    • Drag the mouse cursor to UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS’ REGISTRATION
    • Drag to and click on NEW STUDENTS (UPDATE PERSONAL DATA)
    • Enter your UTME Registration Number (in the column for Matriculation Number)
    • Enter your Surname in the Column for Surname
    • Click on SUBMIT button

    STEP TWO

    • On the displayed page, enter your UTME Registration Number (in the column for Matriculation Number)
    • In the column for COURSE ADMITTED INTO, drop down the arrow and select the course you were CLEARED for, during the 2015/2016 Admission Screening of the newly admitted students.

    STEP THREE

    COMPLETION OF THE MAIN REGISTRATION FORM

    • Here, the student’s profile containing the student’s names and O’Level examination details will be displayed.
    • Click on PROCEED button to update the STUDENT’S PROFILE.
      NOTE: On the column for USERNAME, you are required to enter your JAMB/UTME REGISTRATION NUMBER into it.
    • Select 2015 as your Year of entry

    STEP FOUR

    REGISTRATION AS A RETURNING STUDENT

    All New students who have completed steps 1–3 above would be automatically taken to the registration portal for course registration.

    However, if you are not sure of the courses to be registered, you are advised to log out and visit the returning students’ registration portal as soon as possible and especially before the eventual closure of registration portal by following this procedure:

    • Visit LASU website www.lasu.edu.ng
    • Point to STUDENT SERVICES
    • Drag the mouse cursor to UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS’ REGISTRATION
    • Drag to and click on COURSES REGISTRATION
    • Enter your UTME Registration Number (in the column for Matriculation Number)
    • Entre your Surname in the Column for Surname
    • Click on SUBMIT button
    • Click on COURSE REGISTRATION to register your courses

    ALL STUDENTS SHOULD BE DULLY INFORMED THAT THE “ADD” OR “DELETE” FUNCTIONALITY ON REGISTERED COURSES IS AVAILABLE ONLY DURING THE APPROVED PERIOD OF REGISTRATION.

    HENCE STUDENTS MUST ENSURE THE CORRECTNESS OF THEIR COURSES (BOTH
    COURSE CODE AND TITLE) BEFORE PROCEEDING ONLINE FOR COURSE REGISTRATION.

    ‘USE OF CELL-PHONE FOR COURSE REGISTRATION IS NOT ADVISEABLE’.

    After completing the registration of all available/registrable courses, students are expected to print the following and keep the printouts in safe custody after the HOD’s endorsement:
    i) Student’s Main Registration Form
    ii) Course Form for Harmattan Semester
    iii) Exam Slip for Harmattan Semester.
    iv) Student’s ID card data form
    v) Transaction Receipt
    vi) Old Course Forms (also available for printing by returning students who have paid the school fees for the current session).
