• The Federal Government has concluded plans to construct Computer Based Test (CBT) centres in all 774 Local Government Areas in the country for the conduct of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

This was disclosed by the Registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, who stated that the centres will be ready before the 2016 UTME.

Ojerinde noted that a total 400 approved CBT Centres were being used for the kick-off of the full-blown Computer Based UTME this year, adding that the examination would be seamless next year when new centres would have been approved in addition to those to established by the government.

He admitted that there were few challenges encountered on the first day of the examination in some of the centres across the nation but said the Board has overcome those hiccups as the examination is progressing smoothly in all the centres.
