• The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Akure, Professor Adebiyi Daramola has called on Nigerians living outside the country to come home and contribute to the development of the nation.

He said that such contribution would help in accelerating the needed socio-economic growth for the country.

He made this known during a workshop to kick start the collaboration between the university and Carnegie-Africa in Diaspora Fellowship held in the institution last week.

Daramola, who is a Professor of Agric Economics and Rural Extension, said he gave it to overseas based Nigerians who look back to contribute their quotas to their mother lands.

He however gave kudos to the guest speaker at the event from Howard University (US), Professor James Momoh, who is a Nigerian for impacting the country particularly in the area of research, teaching and technology, adding that Nigeria needed more people like him to move the country to a greater height.

The VC noted that collaboration between his organisation and FUTA would stimulate meaningful researches that would lead to the development of power sector in Nigeria.
