• The management of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti is set to establish a Metrology Laboratory and a Library for the entire Faculty of Engineering in the institution.

This was disclosed by the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Isaac Asuzu, who inaugurated the two buildings recently.

Prof. Asuzu said the building was in fulfillment of promises made by Engineer Otis Anyaeji and Lanre Adesuyi during an infrastructure development drive and fund-raising dinner held at Abuja on October 23, 2013.

He revealed that at that occasion, Otis Anyaeji made initial pledge of N4,188,971 for the completion of the University’s Metrology laboratory which was redeemed within 24 hours. He later made a further donation of N655,000 for the laboratory furniture.

Applauding their efforts, the vice chancellor said what is striking about their donations was that they came at a most appropriate period.
