• The accommodation crisis rocking the Federal University Otuoke took another dimension over the weekend as hundreds of male students were thrown out of their hostel following the inability of the state government to redeem its commitment of paying their accommodation fees.

According to reports, the students who resumed for academic activities, were denied entry into the hostels by the landlord who said that the state government failed to honour the agreement to pay him annually for the rented apartment.

The landlord, who is represented by Stream Solicitors, said that efforts to resolve the debts with the government amicably failed thus resulting to the ejection action.

A visit to the said hostels showed they are already under lock and key as students laments the unfortunate incident.
