The newly constituted Governing Council of the Federal University, Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI), has held its inaugural meeting as the Pro Chancellor expressed satisfaction with the level of progress in the young university.
Speaking with newsmen, after Vice Chancellor, Prof. Oye Ibidapo-Obe conducted the members of the Council round facilities around the campus, Engr Chief Onwuegbu praised the University Management for the level of infrastructural development and pledged the support of the council in making sure that all ongoing projects within the University were completed.
Earlier, on their arrival the Pro Chancellor /Chairman of Council, Engineer Anayo Onwuegbu and other members of the Council were received with fanfare by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Oye Ibidapo-Obe, and Principal Officers of the University as well as the university cultural troupe.
In his welcome remarks, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibidapo-Obe conveyed the gratitude of the University Community to the Council members on their visit and expressed his earnest desire to work with them in developing the University.
