• The Federal University, Kashere in Gombe State, during their 2014/2015 academic session matriculation ceremony, admitted about 760 students into the institution.

    Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Mohammed Farouk, speaking at the event said that the number comprises of 637 males and 123 females.

    He said that the major challenge facing the institution is lack of enough accommodation for staff and students.

    Farouk added that the university is planning to diversify its sources of funding which will include introduction of some programmes that will increase the university’s internally generated revenue.
