The Governing Council of the Federal University, Kashere in Gombe state has been inaugurated.
The council is headed by the former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel as Chairman. Other Members are: Alhaji Bello Adamu, Muheeba Dankaka, Chief Ikeji Asogwa and Rosana Oba.
During the inauguration, the Honorable Minister of Education, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau tasked the members to explore ways of generating incomes for the Universities.
He urged them to ensure that the funds allocated to the institutions by the federal government is adequately utilized.
The Federal Government also announced the appointment of Ochidoma IV, Elias Ikoyi Obekpa as the Chancellor of the University.
