• The Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) Unit of Federal University, Kashere, organized an orientation program for the 2014/2015 Academic Session on Thursday, 30th April, 2015.

    In his speech during the event, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mohammed Kabiru Farouk, who was represented by the Deputy Registrar Mallam Magaji Yuguda, advice the students to be humble and creative while on training.

    He assured them of the University’s commitment towards providing the enabling environment for students participation in the SIWES training.

    The SIWES Coordinator in the institution, Dr Peter B. Zirra, tasked the student to be determined, motivated and committed on the training and to be good ambassadors of the University.

    Also at the event, the Bauchi ITF Area Manager, Alhaji Inuwa Samaila said SIWES training is one of the programmes that makes students acquire different learning skills in order to bridge the gap between the organization and Practice.

    Students from five departments which include Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science and Geography were expected at the 2014/2015 SIWES training.
