The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone D (Southwest) has honoured the Provost of the Federal College of Agriculture Akure (FECA), Dr Samson Adeola Odedina, with the ‘Outstanding Leadership’ award.
The award was bestowed on the Provost at the NANS zonal convention held at the college premises in Akure, which drew participants from higher institutions across the six Southwest states.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Odedina expressed happiness with NANS’ decision to host the convention in the institution and dedicated the award to the students of FECA, Akure.

He highlighted various transformation the college has experienced since the inception of his administration, which includes the reduction of school fees, abolition of excursion fees, provision of good student learning environment, and excellent management-students relationship, among other things.
The provost further admonished delegates to explore the leadership opportunities NANS would afford them.
