Federal College of Education Katsina Gets New Provost.
The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Dr. Aliyu Idris Funtua as the new Provost of the Federal College of Education, Katsina, Katsina State.
Until his appointment, Funtua was the acting Provost of the institution. The appointment is with effect from the 19th of August, 2016 and for a first term of 4 years subject to renewal for a second term.
According to the Nigerian Education Minister, Mallam Adamu Adamu who announced the appointment, the conditions of service, including remunerations and fringe benefits shall be as approved for Provosts in Federal Colleges of Education in the country.
Dr. Funtua, aged 56, got his PhD in Hausa Language from the Bayero University Kano (BUK), in 2015.
He is happily marriage with children.
