• The Department of History and International Relations of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, have received books worth N500,000 from the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Lagos.

    The books were donated to the University during the field trip by the students of the Department to the Institute.

    Speaking while receiving the Students, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Valentine Aletor appreciated the Institute for the gesture.

    He said that the happiness and satisfaction he noticed in the Students on arrival indicated that they were treated very well.

    The Vice-Chancellor added that Elizade University would continue to give relevant exposure to the Students.

    In his remarks, one of the Students on the trip and Chairman, Students Consultative Forum of the University, Bolu Ogundipe who spoke on behalf of other Students expressed satisfaction with the trip.

    He said as students in History and International Relations, they have seen how embassies handle diplomatic functions on daily basis.

    He described the week-long excursion as school outside classroom, saying it has given them practical experience that would assist them in their chosen discipline.
