The Ekiti State University College of Medicine has elected Professor Kehinde Oluwadiya as the new Provost of the College.
Speaking during the Academic Staff Assembly (ASA) of the College of Medicine where Professor Oluwadiya was elected on Thursday, 6th August, 2015, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Patrick Oladipo Aina urged members of staff to work harder than before to sustain the good reputation of the College.
Prof. Aina congratulated Prof. Oluwadiya who emerged with 53 votes without opposition and urged him to carry along his staff in decision-making to build on the achievements of his predecessors.
In his reaction, Prof. Oluwadiya promised to explore the possibilities of leveraging the professional expertise of the staff in all spheres including the improvement of the finances of the College and the University.
He also promised to work closely with the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital to achieve positive results.
The new Provost pledged that all hands would be on deck to make sure the first Professional Examination in the College holds in September this year.
