• EKSU Graduates 3,058 Students During 21st Convocation.

    A total of 3,058 full time students of Ekiti State University (EKSU) received their first degree certificates during the 21st Convocation ceremony of the institution held on Friday, 24th June, 2016.

    Speaking during the event, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Samuel Oye Bandele, said that 24 of the graduating students bagged First Class degrees in various disciplines.

    Giving a further breakdown of the results, the VC said that 573 graduands bagged Second Class Upper while a total of 1,647 students got Second Class lower. He added that 747 got Third Class and 67 graduated with Pass degrees.

    Bandele said that the institution graduated 392 sandwich students with another 10,613 graduating from affiliated institutions.

    In the postgraduate category, 689 students bagged Diplomas while 78 got their PhDs, 366 Masters and 118 Postgraduate diploma.

    He also stated that the school is working on a bread production and sachet water production company which will become functional in a year.

    The VC also noted that the school has constructed a 20,000 capacity hostel to reduce the housing problems and this rooms would be occupied by the 100 levels and finalists from few months to come.
