• The National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS), yesterday mobilised its members to protest the non-payment of their bursary allowance by the state government.

The students, who are Kwara State indigenes, occupied the government house at Ilorin, insisting that their 2013 and 2014 bursary must be paid.

According to Mohammed Lateef, the President of NAKSS who led the protest, the bursary arrears amounted to about N235 million.

However, the Kwara state governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, urged the students to exercise patience as the non payment of the allowance is as a result of the dwindling allocation from the federation account.
