• A polytechnic student, Nwokeoma Adimoha, has been sentenced to six months in prison for selling Indian Hemp in Lagos.

    Nwokeoma was arrested by a surveillance team of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in an uncompleted building in Satellite Town, Lagos last year October.

    He was subsequently charged to a Federal High Court in Lagos where he pleaded guilty to the offence.

    The presiding judge, Justice Mohammed Idris sentenced him to the prison term beginning from the date of his arrest as the offence contravened Section 11 (c) of the NDLEA Act, 2004.
