Former Nigerian military ruler, General Muhammadu Buhari has just been officially declared the winner of the 2015 Nigeria presidential election.

Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), professor Attahiru Jega made the pronouncement today, April 1st, 2015 at exactly 3:47 AM Nigerian time (GMT+1).
Buhari won with slightly over 50% of the total valid votes cast on March 28th, 2015. A breakdown of the results according to states and political parties can be seen on the link below;
