• The Kogi State Governor, Captain Idris Wada, has vowed to prosecute officials involved in the inflation of the WAEC registration fees for final year secondary school students in the state.

The governor said that the officials had inflated the money paid by the state government to the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC), from N230 million to N500 million.

He said those involved in the scam would be duly punished as soon as investigation was concluded.

According to him, the scam is what made the government to temporarily stop the payment of the WAEC fees.
