FG Declares Easter Public Holidays.
The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Friday, 19th and Monday, 22nd April, 2019 as public holidays to mark the Good Friday and Easter celebrations.
According to the Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, who made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government in a statement by the Acting Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido on Tuesday, all the Christian faithful and Nigerians in general are enjoined to extend the spiritual benefits of Easter, which are love, peace, justice, sacrifice and kindness to their daily living, and through this contribute to unity and peaceful co- existence among Nigerians.
He further urged all Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace and unity across the Nation and to co-operate and join hands with President Muhammadu Buhari, “in his sustained efforts to build a strong and virile nation. ”.
The minister wished all Nigerians a happy Easter celebration.
