FG Declares Easter Public Holidays.
The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Friday, 2nd, and Monday, 5th April 2021 as public holidays to mark the Good Friday and Easter celebrations.
The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, who made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government in a statement signed by the Director, Press and Public Relations in the Ministry of Interior, Mr. Mohammed Manga, enjoined all the Christian faithful and Nigerians in general to extend the spiritual benefits of Easter, which are love, peace, justice, sacrifice, and kindness to their daily living, especially during this coronavirus pandemic.
He further urged all Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace and unity across the Nation and to co-operate and join hands with President Muhammadu Buhari, “in his sustained efforts to build a strong and virile nation. ”.
The minister wished all Nigerians a happy Easter celebration.
