• The Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Mr. Ekpo Nta, has called on vice-chancellors to introduce anti-corruption courses in their institutions as part of the efforts to fight corruption.

Nta, who made the call at a workshop on academic integrity in Nigerian universities, organised by the Anti-Corruption Academy of Nigeria in Abuja, said that the process of teaching anti-corruption should take place at the foundation level in the form of general studies in each of the universities of the federation.

He stated that it was not proper to wait for somebody to leave the higher institution before introducing lectures on anti-corruption.

The ICPC boss added that the University of Calabar had already taken the step to introduce anti-graft studies and had made noticeable contributions to the international design for the introduction of such studies.
