• A total of 9,648 students got their first degree and diploma certificates during the Convocation Ceremony of Delta State University, Abraka, which took place earlier this month.

    The Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Professor Victor Peretomode, said that the ceremony was to celebrate the efforts and time invested by the graduands during their days in school.

    He urged the graduates to see the convocation as another beginning in their lives.

    The VC announced an automatic employment to the overall best graduating student, Miss Anthonia Michael of the Department of Botany and offered her a scholarship to study up to doctorate degree.

    Among the dignitaries at the event are the visitor to the university, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan (Governor Delta State), his deputy, Prof Amos Utuama (SAN), and traditional rulers in the state.
