Dr Dan Anyanwu Appointed Provost of Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education Owerri.
The President, Muhammadu Buhari, has approved the appointment of Dr. Dan Anyanwu as the Provost of the Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri.
According to the Permanent Secretary, General Services Office, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), Olusegun Adekunle, who announced this in a statement made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Abuja, the appointment was for an Initial Period of four years, with effect from July 25, 2018.
Until his appointment,Dr. Anyanwu was the acting Provost of the institution.
Dr. Anyanwu hails from Orogwe in Owerri West LGA of Imo State Nigeria. He holds a Ph.D in Fish Nutrition from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), M.Sc in Fisheries Management from the University of Ibadan; B.Agric in Animal Science from the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), and PGDE from the Imo State University Owerri.
He was the HOD of Agricultural Science Department at Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education between 2005 and 2008, and he was the co-ordinator of SIWES between 2015 and 2016, and he had served in several committees in the College either as Chairman, Secretary, Member, including Staff Disciplinary Committee.
He is happily married to Mrs Helen Anyanwu and the marriage is blessed with children.
