• A final year student of the Adeyemi College of Education (ACE), Ondo, slumped and died while on excursion at the Erin-Ijesa waterfall in Osun State.

The deceased, identified as Timilehin Akinsiku, was a final year student of the English Language Department in the college.

Akinsiku embarked on the excursion with fellow students and executive members of the Student Union Government (SUG) as part of the events to mark the annual students’ union week in the institution.

It was reported that Akinsiku slumped and fainted after complaining of tiredness while ascending the hill.

Efforts by his fellow students to revive him through first aid proved abortive, so they rushed his to a nearby hospital where he was confirmed dead by medical personnel on duty.

However, the SUG President, Isiaka Kamorudeen, has dispelled rumours that the late Timilehin was murdered during the excursion.

Kamorudeen described the sudden death as unfortunate.

May his soul Rest In Peace…
