No fewer than 2,315 students were admitted into the Osun State University, Osogbo during the eight matriculation ceremony of the institution.
In his speech during th event, the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the Institution, Prof. Oguntola Jelil Alamu, charged the matriculants to be of good conduct and warned them against any violation of the University’s rules and regulations.
He disclosed that hundreds of thousands of candidates applied for admission to the Institution but that only 2,315 candidates could be admitted for the 2014/2015 session, having successfully scaled the various hurdles, including acceptable passes in the UTME and Post-UTME screening.
Professor Alamu urged the newly admitted students to make great sacrifices in time and efforts as there is no shortcut to success; hard work is a prerequisite.
