According to a memo by the Registrar, Mr. Emmanuel Obafemi, it said that the board is headed by the Dean, Faculty of Arts, Prof. Ayo Akinwale.
Other members of the Board include the Head of the Department of English, Prof. (Mrs.) Victoria Alabi; the Ag. Director, Centre for Peace and Strategic Studies, Dr. Mahfouz Adedimeji; the Deputy Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Kunle Akogun; Dr. P. O. Abioje of the Department of Religions and Dr. A. Aliagan, also the Department of Religions, the Ag. Head of the Department of Mass Communication, Mr. M. Abdulraheem; Dr. L. A. Azeez, also of the Department of Mass Communication and Mr. T. A. Bamigboye of the Academic Support Services who is to serve as the Board Secretary.
The board is charged with the responsibility of formulating policy direction for the Radio Station in line with the vision and mission of the University.
Obafemi added that the newly constituted Board will also advise the University management on the recruitment of principal staff for the Radio Station; supervise, evaluate and recommend necessary compensation package for staff of the Station; ensure that the Radio Station operates in conformity with the Nigerian Broadcasting Code; and advise on any other policy issues that would ensure the smooth running of the Radio Station.
