UNILAG Holds Distance Learning Matriculation Ceremony.
A total of 4,205 newly admitted University of Lagos (UNILAG) Distance Learning Institute (DLI) students took their Matriculation Oath during the 2015/2016 academic session matriculation ceremony of the institute held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016.
The event, which took place at the UNILAG Main Auditorium in Akoka, was witnessed by the Principal Officers of the University, Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments /Units, Directors and Deputy Directors.
In his address at the event, the Vice-Chancellor of UNILAG, Professor Rahamon Bello, who was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Management Services), Professor Duro Oni, congratulated the new students on their admission.
He charged them to embrace the zeal to acquire academic excellence for which the University of Lagos is reputed.
Prof. Oni also urged them to shun all vices and immoral behavior.
High-point of the occasion was the administration of the matriculation oath on the fresh students by the Registrar of the University, Dr (Mrs) Taiwo Ipaye.
