178 First Class as UNILAG Graduates 5,472 Students.
The University of Lagos, UNILAG, Convocation ceremony for the 2014/2015 academic session graduating students will see a total of 5,472 graduands receive their first degree certificates.
Speaking during a pre-convocation media briefing on Wednesday, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Rahamon Bello, stated that a total of 178 of the graduating students bagged First Class degrees.
In a further breakdown of the results, the VC said 1617 got Second Class Upper while 2496 made Second Class Lower. Another 894 graduated with Third Class degrees.
Bello said no fewer then 5,435 students graduated from the School of Postgraduate studies.
The convocation programmes, which has formally kicked off with the media briefing will also feature a convocation lecture to be delivered by the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonaya Onu on Monday, February 28.
