The Federal Executive Council in Nigeria has approved the establishment of Hezekiah University, Umudi, Imo State.
This was disclosed to State House correspondents by the Minister of Information, Senator Patricia Akwashiki, at the end of the FEC meeting presided over by President Goodluck Jonathan.
According to Akwashiki, the establishment of the university was aimed at meeting the high demand for admissions into tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
She disclosed that officials of the National Universities Commission were in attendance to brief the Council on the need for the school.
