• The Management of Hezekiah University (UNIHEZ), Umudi invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following academic and non-academic vacancies at the university;

    Title: The Registrar
    Requirements:-  A Ph.D. with a minimum of five years experience or Master’s degree with a minimum of seven years experience or a good Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of ten years experience in University management and administration. A diploma in Administration or Law is an advantage. The candidate must be a person with high degree of integrity and moral discipline as well as endowed with strength of character and determination, imagination, creativity and innovation potentials.

    Title: Vice-Chancellor
    Requirements: – A Ph.D. degree from a recognized University with scholarly accomplishments and with a rank of a Professor. At least a minimum of fifteen years of post-doctoral academic experience, with good track record of research and development (R&D) and publications. The candidate must have had administrative in-depth experience in the University system such as Head of Department, Dean of Faculty and/or Deputy Vice-Chancellor.

    Title: ICT Admin
    As an IT administrator, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the company’s IT network, servers and security systems. This role is absolutely essential within any organisation to ensure business continuity – if an IT network fails, the impact on the day to day running of the business can be significant, sometimes catastrophic.

    To ensure this doesn’t happen, you’ll be responsible for investigating and diagnosing network problems, collecting IT usage stats, making recommendations for improving the company’s IT systems and carrying out routine configuration and installation of IT solutions.

    On a day to day basis, you might be called upon to help colleagues with more basic IT needs. This will mean you’ll need to share your own knowledge to help others, including setting up new users and managing backup, security and passwords. You’re also the company’s internet police, monitoring internet and email use.

    Title: Chief Security Officer
    The duties and responsibilities of Chief Security Officer includes but not limited to:

    1. Plan and ensure execution of Security arrangement as required by the University.

    2. To look after all the security arrangements in the campus.

    3. To supervise and control the work of security personnel.

    4. To assist the University authorities in maintaining law and order.

    5. To maintain liaison with Police and district Authorities regarding – law and order problems and investigation of criminal cases affecting the University.

    6. To assist the University Hostel Adlministration in day to day functioning i.e. eviction of unauthorized occupants/intruders.

    7. To attend to fire incidents and other calamities and incidents on the campus.

    Title: Associate Professor
    A Ph.D. degree with evidence of academic leadership in terms of Research, Publication, and Development as well as administrative experience. In addition, the candidate must have at least ten years of cognate experience in full time teaching in a recognized University. Note: Research-active Professors who meet prescribed internationally recognized contributions in academic leadership have added advantage.

    Title: ICT Consultant
    The ICT Consultant is accountable for the delivery of specialist ICT consultancy services to the school, including the provision of expert technical advice, support and assistance on issues relating to the desktop and server environment, ICT Infrastructure, Network environment and software distribution.

    TECHNICAL OR EXPERT KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE (Candidates should address the following points as part of their application).

    • Demonstrated experience in undertaking complex ICT projects and providing ICT solution design services that align with organisational objectives and business requirements

    • Demonstrated experience in identifying technical issues, thinking laterally and applying analytical skills to develop appropriate options for resolution.

    • Experience in the establishment, review and continuous improvement of ICT Architecture.

    • Significant experience in the provision of specialist technical advice, support and assistance within an information technology environment covering many ICT technologies and environments.

    • Significant knowledge of ICT-related government legislation, policies, procedures and systems.

    • Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining server, storage and network infrastructure on a wide range of platforms and technologies.

    • Proven ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a range of business and ICT stakeholders, and to establish and maintain strong and productive working relationships.

    • Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and prioritise workloads.

    Title: Bursar
    Requirements: – A good honours University degree in Accounting or Banking and Finance plus membership of Professional Bodies with qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, IB, etc. This position requires also a minimum of ten years cognate experience. The Bursar must be computer literate with vast knowledge in operating various Accounting software. Higher qualifications are added advantages. The candidate must be a person with high degree of integrity and moral discipline as well as endowed with strength of character and determination, imagination, creativity and innovation potentials.

    Title: Lecturers II
    Requirements for the post of Lecturers II: A Ph.D. degree in relevant field with at least four years cognate experience.

    Title: Librarian
    Requirements: – A good University degree plus an advanced degree in librarianship. Candidates must be highly resourceful in the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), computer-based cataloguing and e-Library literacy. Also a minimum of ten years post qualification experience in library management is required and/or an advantage. The candidate must be a person with high degree of integrity and moral discipline as well as endowed with strength of character and determination, imagination, creativity and innovation potentials.

    Title: Professor
    A Ph.D. degree with evidence of academic leadership in terms of Research, Publication, and Development as well as administrative experience. In addition, the candidate must have at least twelve years of cognate experience in full time teaching in a recognized University. Note: Research-active Professors who meet prescribed internationally recognized contributions in academic leadership have added advantage.

    Title: Lecturers I
    Requirements for the post of Lecturers I: A Ph.D. degree in relevant field with at least five years cognate experience.

    Title: Senior Lecturer
    Requirements for the post of Senior Lecturer: A Ph.D. degree with evidence of academic leadership in terms of Research, Publication, and Development as well as administrative experience. In addition, the candidate must have at least seven years of cognate experience in full time teaching in a recognized University. Note: Research-active Professors who meet prescribed internationally recognized contributions in academic leadership have added advantage.

    Title: ICT Officer
    An enthusiastic individual who has a good understanding of all aspects of ICT, as well as a general knowledge of Microsoft applications. You will also be expected to assist other members of the team as and when necessary in the delivery of ICT projects, and will assist in maintaining and supporting ICT systems, solutions and services across the department.
