The Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Prof. Faraday Orumwense, has denied rumours that the management of the institution is planning to increase school fees.
Prof. Orumwense, who spoke at the convocation media briefing, said though there was an increase in the NHIS N400 fee by the National Universities Commission, there are no intentions to increase the tuition.
The VC said that this year’s convocation, which is the first of his administration, will witness the formal installation of the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi 11 as the 9th Chancellor of the university.
