University of Benin, UNIBEN Freshers’ Orientation Programme for 2018/2019 academic session.
The authorities of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has announced the dates for an orientation program for the 2018/2019 admitted students to inform them of the rules and regulation that will guide their stay in the institution.
Consequently, the school’s management has announced Tuesday 14th May 2019 to Friday 17th May 2019 as lecture free days. This enabled the students to participate fully in the orientation exercise.
Declaring the event open, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. F. Orumwense congratulated the students on securing admission as he called them “the anointed few”.
He disclosed that the university is still the most sought-after university in the country which is the reason it was nicknamed “UNIBEST”.
Orumwense further charged the student to prioritized the reason why they are here which is primarily to acquire knowledge.
As a new student into the school, he said the necessary things to be done is to attend lecture, obey their lecturers and obey the rules and regulations governing the school while adding that there is no quick way to success.
The VC advised the students to be security cautions and read the student hand book given to them.
