The University of Benin sports Committee wishes to notify the entire University Community that arrangement are on, towards the hosting of the 2014/2015 Interfaculty Games, tagged “vice chancellor’s cup”.
Consequently, the university sports committee wishes to use this medium to invite all students of the thirteen faculties to register for participation in the fifteen (15) NUGA Sports namely; Athletic, Badminton, Basketball, Chess, Cricket, Handball, Hockey, Judo, Soccer, Squash, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis and Volleyball.
Students are to register with their faculty Director of sport or Departmental Sports coordinator for any sport of their interest or at the Sport Centre.
Competition starts with Football match in the male and female categories on Wednesday 15th to 31st July 2015, while other sporting events commence 27th with an opening and closing ceremony on 31st July, 2015.
The highlights of this year’s competition will be the Award of trophies to overall winner (faculty) in the male and female categories.
Cash prizes will be given to participants who come 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions on teams and individual sports.
