The management of University of Abuja has denied reports that the vice chancellor of the university, Prof. Michael Adikwu has been sacked from office.
The Registrar of the University, Mrs. Rifkatu Swanta, who spoke to newsmen in Abuja, said that the rumored sack is the machinations of the enemies of the university.
She said the story is fundamentally far from the truth and the handiwork of those who hate the tremendous achievement made by the present VC since assuming office a year ago.
The Registrar further reminded the “detractors’’ that the vice chancellor has just spent the first year out of his five-year tenure adding that those who are interested in the post should wait till 2019 for another election into the office.
It was alleged that the vice chancellor was sacked alongside some senior management staff of the institution.
