University of Ibadan, UI Management Appoints New Bursar.
The Governing Council of the University of Ibadan (UI), at its meeting of Saturday, 14 November, 2015 approved the appointment of Mr.Michael Akinade Alatise as University Bursar with effect from Thursday, 18 November, 2015.
Mr. Alatise is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ACTI).
He attended Renascent High School, Aremo, Ibadan, Oyo State and The Polytechnic, Ibadan where he obtained both Ordinary National Diploma (OND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting with Upper Credit Division in 1987 and 1990 respectively.
He also has a degree of Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Ibadan in 2003.
Furthermore, Mr. Alatise obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting (B.Sc) with Second Class Upper division in 2010 from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State and a Master of Science degree in Accounting (M.Sc) with a PhD grade in June, 2015 from Babcock University, Ilishan Remo, Ogun State.
Born in December, 1963, he joined the services of the University of Ibadan in 2001 as a Senior Accountant in the College of Medicine of the University. Through the dint of hard work, he rose by merit to the position of Chief Accountant in 2007 and was appointed Deputy Bursar in 2010, a position he occupied until he was appointed as the Bursar of the University on 13 November, 2015.
