    The University of Ibadan invites applications from qualified candidates for admission into the under-listed Undergraduate Degree Programmes in the Distance Learning Centre, for the 2017/2018 Academic Session.

    The under-listed are the available Courses and their duration:

    FACULTY OF ARTS ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

    PROGRAMME DIRECT ENTRY (4-YEAR MODE) O’LEVEL MODE(5-YEAR MODE) SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS
    B.A. (HONS.) ENGLISH Candidates with at least 2 A-level papers in English & Literature-in- English, NCE, OND, HND, 1st Degree in relevant disciplines plus 5 O/L credits at ONE sitting or 6 O/L credits at TWO sittings including English Language, Literature-in-English, another Arts subject and any other combination of Arts or Social Sciences are eligible for 4-year Direct Entry admission. Five or six ‘O’ Level credits in English Language, Literature-in-English another Arts Subject in other subjects from Arts or The Social Sciences. Literature-in- English is compulsory for English Language. Prospective candidates should note that relevant disciplines for Direct Entry Admission into the Department of English include:
    English Language
    Linguistics
    Mass Communication,
    and other disciplines similar to the above stated.
    B.A. (HONS.) PHILOSOPHY & PUBLIC AFFAIRS Candidates with two A-Level papers, NCE, OND and HND, 1st Degree from any discipline are eligible provided they meet O Level requirements of English Language, one Arts subject and any other subjects from Arts, Social Sciences and Science. Five or six O’ Level credits at One or TWO sittings in English Language, another Arts subjects and any other subjects in Arts, Science or the Social Sciences. Apart from English Language, another Arts subject is required for both Direct and O Level admissions into Philosophy and Public Affairs.

    FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

    PROGRAMME DIRECT ENTRY (4-YEAR MODE) O’LEVEL MODE(5-YEAR MODE) SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS
    B.SC. (HONS.) PSYCHOLOGY Candidates must possess 2 A-Level passes to include Govt. or Hist. NCE, HND, Nursing and First Degree are accepted provided O’ Level requirements are met. 5 O’ Level Credits at One sitting or 6 O’ Level credits at TWO sittings in English Language and any other Social Science subject and any other subjects from Arts or Social Sciences; in addition, the candidate must possess at least a pass in Mathematics. Psychology accepts for Direct Entry candidates with: NCE: NOT lower than a credit pass from any discipline HND: NOT lower than a credit pass from any discipline Nursing: with NRN 1st Degree: NOT lower than a 3rd class from any discipline HND & 1st Degree may apply for a 3-year fast-track programme. The Department DOES NOT ACCEPT OND.
    B.SC. (HONS.)
    ECONOMICS
    Candidates must possess 2 A-Level in Economics and any other subject; OND, HND, NCE, Diploma Certificate and 1st Degree from any discipline plus ‘O’ Level requirements are accepted. 5 ‘O’ Level Credits at ONE sitting or 6 ‘O’ Level credits at TWO sittings in English Language, Mathematics, Economic and any other subjects from Arts or Social Sciences. English Language, Mathematics and Economics are strictly required for both Direct and ‘O’ Level admissions into Economics.
    B.SC. (HONS.) POLITICAL SCIENCE Candidates must possess any two ALevel passes in Government or History. and any other subject. NCE, OND, HND, Diploma Certificates and 1st Degree from any discipline are accepted in addition to ‘O’ Level requirement s 5 ‘O’ Level Credits at One sitting or 6 ‘O’ Level credits at TWO sittings in English Language, Government or History and any other Social Science subject and any other subjects from Arts, the Social Sciences or science. In addition , the candidate must possess at least a pass in Mathematics HND & 1st Degree may apply for 3-year fast-track programme.

    FACULTY OF EDUCATION ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

    B.SW (HONS.) SOCIAL WORK Candidates must possess NRN, Diploma, OND, NCE, and HND in any discipline and must, in addition, satisfy O Level requirements. 5 ‘O’ Level Credits at ONE sitting or 6 O’ Level credits at TWO sittings in English Language and any other Science, Social Science or Arts subjects. Teaching courses available for Social work are: English Language Christian Religious Studies Geography Political Science Mathematics Islamic Religious Studies Literature-in-Yoruba

    1. Application form is available on payment of application fee of N10,500 only and should be completed online   (http://newportal.dlc.ui.edu.ng/home/Applicants)

    Online Card/E-Payment Method: Applicants can Sign On using this link from the home page AND fill the requested information on all boxes and select CARD payment option in available option to make payments using any ATM card accepted by Interswitch.

    3. The application fee is only payable on the platform of selected banks and their branches all over the country as advertised on the portal.
