Hundreds of students of the University
It was gathered that the deceased, who is a 200 level Department of Health Education and Human Kinetics student, suffocated in a crowded hall during the game on Wednesday night, which led to outrage among the students.
The protesters blocked the Mokola-Ojoo highway in Ibadan asking for a better and qiucker medical services as it was alleged that the University Health Services didn’t attend to the student when he was brought there for urgent treatment.

It is alleged that this is not the first time the Jaja Hospital is rejecting a student brought there for medical attention.
The students are calling on the school’s management to improve on the welfare of students especially through the medical services.
As at the time of this report, four police vans were stationed in front of the school but it did not stop the students from their protest.
Reacting to the protest, the UI Registrar, Mr. Olujimi Olukoya, said the rampaging students outside the school gate were not from UI.
He claimed that the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Isaac Adewole, had addressed the authentic students inside the school on the matter.
